![]() I have seen a few battles were we worked in this manor and it was devastating. Unlike WoT this game is best played as a team and working as a team watching each-others backs and moving based on communication. In a team based game players should focus on the spawn killer then move on but seems most of the time people play this like WoT and just want to stat pad and get there kills vs helping someone. Then the only way to make SL is to play a FOTM Axis aircraft or an allied plane that you're really good with. Unless you're using a FOTM tank, or you're insanely lucky or skilled with robotic reaction times, 9/10 you're not going to be staying. Do I just respawn in a backup or my Panther II? or just leave as the situation is just hopeless and I'd rather just take the -2k SL loss instead of racking up another potential 6k to my 2k loss? By the time that happens, theres 3 or 5 other T-55AMs near our spawn, and 2 or 3 BMP-2s camping points with ATGMs and roughly half the team left the battle. Lets say I get a 7.7 game in a leopard 1, get uptiered to 8.7, I get into a spot and support the team or capture a point, but before I am able to get a kill (which is the only way to make meaningful SL) I end up getting 1tapped by a T-55AM-1. ![]() ![]() I myself am a 1death leaver if I'm unable to get enough points to at least cover a repair cost. Then we get to how "camping spawns are a tactical option in the endgame phase of a match" which I completely understand, its just normal gameplay flow and I can defend spawncamping to a point, but when it becomes one of the biggest issues in ground battle balance, then something has to change.Īnother reason why spawncamping has become so rampant and aggressive is due to 1death leavers. Or you know they'll just complain about it as I'm pretty sure there is a vocal majority of players who like to do it. You can only just lessen the silliness of it by so much. All in all, you can't stop people from doing x if they really want to do x. Making spawns denser might make it easier to get back into battle, but it can also be heavily abused by players who REALLY want to spawncamp. Really there is almost zero options other than punishing spawn-pushers or heavily incentivizing "parking" on a point and staying there for the entire match (like in some FPS/MOBA games where if you leave the point it becomes neutral, or if there are multiple players on the point it drains "victory points" faster, etc.) that's really all I can think of to prevent aggressive spawn-pushing. Also in Berlin its super easy to completely shut both enemy spawn points down as they usually spawn in an area surrounded by buildings with only 2 or 3 exits to the spawn, which of course an enemy can park right outside of it and you cant do anything about it (even if they are spotted on the map for being too close). Its kind of a shame that I see Berlin and Rhine more than Port, but Berlin and Rhine have a similar charm to them, but are just not laid out too well as almost everywhere you go is a place where some guy can spawncamp you or just unleash their inner Call of Duty and corner-camp like they've never corner-camped in their entire life. Urban brawl? both spawns have really good building cover. If you want to snipe, go to the center point or sit on the sidelines of the map and snipe into the center point. Although a majority of players do not like the map, I actually kind of like it due to having multiple playstyles. Port Novorowhatever is the perfect example of this. Adding buidlings around spawns to make them denser instead of open fields and then making it so tanks when located in spawn cant be killed and then lowering your spawn point so tanks that do try to spawn camp just get killed there are solutions and if you try hard enough there is a solution for sure
